New 2027 Edition
Dear brothers and sisters, peace in the Lord! Welcome to our "One Year Whole Bible" series.
Today, we will read Revelation chapters 10 through 14, and Psalm 148.
When facing the rampant spread of evil, intense spiritual warfare, or the heavy pressure of worldly tribulation, we often feel small and weak, sometimes even falling into fear and instability in the dark shadows.
Revelation chapters 10 through 14 unveil the grand picture of end-time spiritual warfare and God's ultimate victory. The angel holding the little book heralds the fulfillment of God's mystery; the two witnesses die and rise again, demonstrating the power of God's word; the battle between the woman and the dragon reveals Satan cast down to earth, while the saints overcome him "by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony." Despite the rise and threats of the beast, the 144,000 stand with the Lamb on Mount Sion while angels preach the everlasting gospel, declaring the fall of Babylon and final judgment. Psalm 148 is a majestic symphony calling upon angels, sun, moon, stars, rulers, and all creation on earth to praise the exalted name of Jehovah alone.
As we read today, let us reflect: In spiritual warfare and amidst accusations, do I constantly treasure the blood of the Lamb and the truth of God's Word? Can my heart look past immediate battles to join the grand praise of our Heavenly Father's holy name?
Let us enter into His Word today with honest and expectant hearts.
10 And I saw another mighty angel come down from heaven, clothed with a cloud: and a rainbow was upon his head, and his face was as it were the sun, and his feet as pillars of fire:
2 And he had in his hand a little book open: and he set his right foot upon the sea, and his left foot on the earth,
3 And cried with a loud voice, as when a lion roareth: and when he had cried, seven thunders uttered their voices.
4 And when the seven thunders had uttered their voices, I was about to write: and I heard a voice from heaven saying unto me, Seal up those things which the seven thunders uttered, and write them not.
5 And the angel which I saw stand upon the sea and upon the earth lifted up his hand to heaven,
6 And sware by him that liveth for ever and ever, who created heaven, and the things that therein are, and the earth, and the things that therein are, and the sea, and the things which are therein, that there should be time no longer:
7 But in the days of the voice of the seventh angel, when he shall begin to sound, the mystery of God should be finished, as he hath declared to his servants the prophets.
8 And the voice which I heard from heaven spake unto me again, and said, Go and take the little book which is open in the hand of the angel which standeth upon the sea and upon the earth.
9 And I went unto the angel, and said unto him, Give me the little book. And he said unto me, Take it, and eat it up; and it shall make thy belly bitter, but it shall be in thy mouth sweet as honey.
10 And I took the little book out of the angel's hand, and ate it up; and it was in my mouth sweet as honey: and as soon as I had eaten it, my belly was bitter.
11 And he said unto me, Thou must prophesy again before many peoples, and nations, and tongues, and kings.
11 And there was given me a reed like unto a rod: and the angel stood, saying, Rise, and measure the temple of God, and the altar, and them that worship therein.
2 But the court which is without the temple leave out, and measure it not; for it is given unto the Gentiles: and the holy city shall they tread under foot forty and two months.
3 And I will give power unto my two witnesses, and they shall prophesy a thousand two hundred and threescore days, clothed in sackcloth.
4 These are the two olive trees, and the two candlesticks standing before the God of the earth.
5 And if any man will hurt them, fire proceedeth out of their mouth, and devoureth their enemies: and if any man will hurt them, he must in this manner be killed.
6 These have power to shut heaven, that it rain not in the days of their prophecy: and have power over waters to turn them to blood, and to smite the earth with all plagues, as often as they will.
7 And when they shall have finished their testimony, the beast that ascendeth out of the bottomless pit shall make war against them, and shall overcome them, and kill them.
8 And their dead bodies shall lie in the street of the great city, which spiritually is called Sodom and Egypt, where also our Lord was crucified.
9 And they of the people and kindreds and tongues and nations shall see their dead bodies three days and an half, and shall not suffer their dead bodies to be put in graves.
10 And they that dwell upon the earth shall rejoice over them, and make merry, and shall send gifts one to another; because these two prophets tormented them that dwelt on the earth.
11 And after three days and an half the spirit of life from God entered into them, and they stood upon their feet; and great fear fell upon them which saw them.
12 And they heard a great voice from heaven saying unto them, Come up hither. And they ascended up to heaven in a cloud; and their enemies beheld them.
13 And the same hour was there a great earthquake, and the tenth part of the city fell, and in the earthquake were slain of men seven thousand: and the remnant were affrighted, and gave glory to the God of heaven.
14 The second woe is past; and, behold, the third woe cometh quickly.
15 And the seventh angel sounded; and there were great voices in heaven, saying, The kingdoms of this world are become the kingdoms of our Lord, and of his Christ; and he shall reign for ever and ever.
16 And the four and twenty elders, which sat before God on their seats, fell upon their faces, and worshipped God,
17 Saying, We give thee thanks, O Lord God Almighty, which art, and wast, and art to come; because thou hast taken to thee thy great power, and hast reigned.
18 And the nations were angry, and thy wrath is come, and the time of the dead, that they should be judged, and that thou shouldest give reward unto thy servants the prophets, and to the saints, and them that fear thy name, small and great; and shouldest destroy them which destroy the earth.
19 And the temple of God was opened in heaven, and there was seen in his temple the ark of his testament: and there were lightnings, and voices, and thunderings, and an earthquake, and great hail.
12 And there appeared a great wonder in heaven; a woman clothed with the sun, and the moon under her feet, and upon her head a crown of twelve stars:
2 And she being with child cried, travailing in birth, and pained to be delivered.
3 And there appeared another wonder in heaven; and behold a great red dragon, having seven heads and ten horns, and seven crowns upon his heads.
4 And his tail drew the third part of the stars of heaven, and did cast them to the earth: and the dragon stood before the woman which was ready to be delivered, for to devour her child as soon as it was born.
5 And she brought forth a man child, who was to rule all nations with a rod of iron: and her child was caught up unto God, and to his throne.
6 And the woman fled into the wilderness, where she hath a place prepared of God, that they should feed her there a thousand two hundred and threescore days.
7 And there was war in heaven: Michael and his angels fought against the dragon; and the dragon fought and his angels,
8 And prevailed not; neither was their place found any more in heaven.
9 And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him.
10 And I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, Now is come salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of his Christ: for the accuser of our brethren is cast down, which accused them before our God day and night.
11 And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death.
12 Therefore rejoice, ye heavens, and ye that dwell in them. Woe to the inhabiters of the earth and of the sea! for the devil is come down unto you, having great wrath, because he knoweth that he hath but a short time.
13 And when the dragon saw that he was cast unto the earth, he persecuted the woman which brought forth the man child.
14 And to the woman were given two wings of a great eagle, that she might fly into the wilderness, into her place, where she is nourished for a time, and times, and half a time, from the face of the serpent.
15 And the serpent cast out of his mouth water as a flood after the woman, that he might cause her to be carried away of the flood.
16 And the earth helped the woman, and the earth opened her mouth, and swallowed up the flood which the dragon cast out of his mouth.
17 And the dragon was wroth with the woman, and went to make war with the remnant of her seed, which keep the commandments of God, and have the testimony of Jesus Christ.
13 And I stood upon the sand of the sea, and saw a beast rise up out of the sea, having seven heads and ten horns, and upon his horns ten crowns, and upon his heads the name of blasphemy.
2 And the beast which I saw was like unto a leopard, and his feet were as the feet of a bear, and his mouth as the mouth of a lion: and the dragon gave him his power, and his seat, and great authority.
3 And I saw one of his heads as it were wounded to death; and his deadly wound was healed: and all the world wondered after the beast.
4 And they worshipped the dragon which gave power unto the beast: and they worshipped the beast, saying, Who is like unto the beast? who is able to make war with him?
5 And there was given unto him a mouth speaking great things and blasphemies; and power was given unto him to continue forty and two months.
6 And he opened his mouth in blasphemy against God, to blaspheme his name, and his tabernacle, and them that dwell in heaven.
7 And it was given unto him to make war with the saints, and to overcome them: and power was given him over all kindreds, and tongues, and nations.
8 And all that dwell upon the earth shall worship him, whose names are not written in the book of life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world.
9 If any man have an ear, let him hear.
10 He that leadeth into captivity shall go into captivity: he that killeth with the sword must be killed with the sword. Here is the patience and the faith of the saints.
11 And I beheld another beast coming up out of the earth; and he had two horns like a lamb, and he spake as a dragon.
12 And he exerciseth all the power of the first beast before him, and causeth the earth and them which dwell therein to worship the first beast, whose deadly wound was healed.
13 And he doeth great wonders, so that he maketh fire come down from heaven on the earth in the sight of men,
14 And deceiveth them that dwell on the earth by the means of those miracles which he had power to do in the sight of the beast; saying to them that dwell on the earth, that they should make an image to the beast, which had the wound by a sword, and did live.
15 And he had power to give life unto the image of the beast, that the image of the beast should both speak, and cause that as many as would not worship the image of the beast should be killed.
16 And he causeth all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads:
17 And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name.
18 Here is wisdom. Let him that hath understanding count the number of the beast: for it is the number of a man; and his number is Six hundred threescore and six.
14 And I looked, and, lo, a Lamb stood on the mount Sion, and with him an hundred forty and four thousand, having his Father's name written in their foreheads.
2 And I heard a voice from heaven, as the voice of many waters, and as the voice of a great thunder: and I heard the voice of harpers harping with their harps:
3 And they sung as it were a new song before the throne, and before the four beasts, and the elders: and no man could learn that song but the hundred and forty and four thousand, which were redeemed from the earth.
4 These are they which were not defiled with women; for they are virgins. These are they which follow the Lamb whithersoever he goeth. These were redeemed from among men, being the firstfruits unto God and to the Lamb.
5 And in their mouth was found no guile: for they are without fault before the throne of God.
6 And I saw another angel fly in the midst of heaven, having the everlasting gospel to preach unto them that dwell on the earth, and to every nation, and kindred, and tongue, and people,
7 Saying with a loud voice, Fear God, and give glory to him; for the hour of his judgment is come: and worship him that made heaven, and earth, and the sea, and the fountains of waters.
8 And there followed another angel, saying, Babylon is fallen, is fallen, that great city, because she made all nations drink of the wine of the wrath of her fornication.
9 And the third angel followed them, saying with a loud voice, If any man worship the beast and his image, and receive his mark in his forehead, or in his hand,
10 The same shall drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is poured out without mixture into the cup of his indignation; and he shall be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels, and in the presence of the Lamb:
11 And the smoke of their torment ascendeth up for ever and ever: and they have no rest day nor night, who worship the beast and his image, and whosoever receiveth the mark of his name.
12 Here is the patience of the saints: here are they that keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus.
13 And I heard a voice from heaven saying unto me, Write, Blessed are the dead which die in the Lord from henceforth: Yea, saith the Spirit, that they may rest from their labours; and their works do follow them.
14 And I looked, and behold a white cloud, and upon the cloud one sat like unto the Son of man, having on his head a golden crown, and in his hand a sharp sickle.
15 And another angel came out of the temple, crying with a loud voice to him that sat on the cloud, Thrust in thy sickle, and reap: for the time is come for thee to reap; for the harvest of the earth is ripe.
16 And he that sat on the cloud thrust in his sickle on the earth; and the earth was reaped.
17 And another angel came out of the temple which is in heaven, he also having a sharp sickle.
18 And another angel came out from the altar, which had power over fire; and cried with a loud cry to him that had the sharp sickle, saying, Thrust in thy sharp sickle, and gather the clusters of the vine of the earth; for her grapes are fully ripe.
19 And the angel thrust in his sickle into the earth, and gathered the vine of the earth, and cast it into the great winepress of the wrath of God.
20 And the winepress was trodden without the city, and blood came out of the winepress, even unto the horse bridles, by the space of a thousand and six hundred furlongs.
148 Praise ye the Lord. Praise ye the Lord from the heavens: praise him in the heights.
2 Praise ye him, all his angels: praise ye him, all his hosts.
3 Praise ye him, sun and moon: praise him, all ye stars of light.
4 Praise him, ye heavens of heavens, and ye waters that be above the heavens.
5 Let them praise the name of the Lord: for he commanded, and they were created.
6 He hath also stablished them for ever and ever: he hath made a decree which shall not pass.
7 Praise the Lord from the earth, ye dragons, and all deeps:
8 Fire, and hail; snow, and vapours; stormy wind fulfilling his word:
9 Mountains, and all hills; fruitful trees, and all cedars:
10 Beasts, and all cattle; creeping things, and flying fowl:
11 Kings of the earth, and all people; princes, and all judges of the earth:
12 Both young men, and maidens; old men, and children:
13 Let them praise the name of the Lord: for his name alone is excellent; his glory is above the earth and heaven.
14 He also exalteth the horn of his people, the praise of all his saints; even of the children of Israel, a people near unto him. Praise ye the Lord.
Thank you for completing today's reading from Revelation and Psalms with us.
The glorious song of the saints overcoming by the Lord's blood and creation's exalted praise to Jehovah continue to inspire and encourage every child of God today.
Now, let us quiet our hearts and meditate on today's daily key verse:
Revelation 12:11 (KJV)
"And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death."
At the climax of spiritual warfare in Revelation, a loud voice in heaven proclaims the secret of the saints' victory over the accuser of the brethren (Satan)—"the blood of the Lamb" and "the word of their testimony."
"The blood of the Lamb" is the sole foundation and divine power of our victory. Against the accusations of the enemy in our hearts and before God, the blood shed by Christ on the cross washes away all our sins, annuls the power of condemnation, and enables us to stand blameless. "The word of their testimony" is the saints' firm proclamation and faithful living of Christ's truth, refusing to compromise regardless of lies or persecution. Loving not their lives unto death reflects a supreme devotion that transcends physical mortality. This victory comes not by human strength or weapons, but by the redeeming blood of the cross and unwavering loyalty to God's truth.
Today's scripture reveals the heavenly power of overcoming the enemy through the Lamb's blood, while leading us to fix our eyes on the Sovereign God praised by all creation. Let us draw near and pray together:
O Lamb of God who overcame the enemy, who sittest upon the throne, and Heavenly Father worthy of all creation’s praise, we glorify You!
Thank You for Your Word today, guiding us through Revelation chapters 10 to 14 and Psalm 148. Your word shines like a brilliant, warm beacon, illuminating the mysteries of the end times and spiritual warfare while fixing our eyes on the power of Christ's blood and Your exalted majesty above heaven and earth.
Lord, in Revelation chapter 12, we hear the loud voice in heaven proclaiming that the brethren overcame the accuser by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony, loving not their lives unto the death. Lord, the power of the blood and holy testimony revealed in this key verse deeply move us! Forgive us for so often losing heart under the accusations and guilt cast by the enemy, and for losing spiritual courage when facing worldly pressure. Help us to treasure and rely daily on the precious blood of Jesus shed on the cross, which cleanses us from all sin, and grant us steadfast faith to hold fast to Your truth so that we may stand as unashamed witnesses in every trial.
Lord, in Revelation chapters 10, 11, 13, and 14, we see the angel with the little book, the two witnesses resurrected in power, and the 144,000 standing with the Lamb on Mount Sion singing a new song. Even amidst the beast's persecution and end-time turmoil, Your holy order and everlasting gospel stand victorious, declaring the fall of Babylon. Lord, Your absolute sovereignty and final triumph touch our hearts deeply! Forgive us for sometimes doubting or panicking when we see worldly wickedness and confusion, and for forgetting our heavenly hope. Grant us patient endurance and pure hearts so that we may follow the Lamb wherever He goes, keeping God's commandments and the faith of Jesus as we look joyfully for Your glorious return.
In Psalm 148, You show us David calling upon angels, heavenly hosts, sun, moon, stars, kings, and all peoples of the earth to praise the name of the Lord, for His name alone is excellent and His glory is above the earth and heaven. Lord, our hearts are so easily consumed by daily worries and narrow losses, forgetting Your glory that fills all creation. Soften our hearts and open our eyes to join this universal chorus of praise. Teach us not to chase after worldly vanity, but to offer all worship and adoration to You, extolling Your holy name every day of our lives.
Today, we also commit our dear family members, friends, and co-workers into Your hands. In an age filled with end-time anxiety, moral chaos, and intense spiritual conflict, many are tormented by accusations of guilt, fear of death, or worldly deception, lacking true peace inside. Lord, let Your Holy Ghost enlighten their hearts through today's scriptures to see the redeeming power of the Lamb's blood. Deliver them from the enemy's bondage and fear, leading them to trust in Jesus Christ and receive new life in Your supreme love and peace.
We bring this restless and broken world before You as well. Nations and cultures continue in human pride, resisting God and bowing to false idols. Lord, have mercy on this earth and restrain the tyranny and lies of the evil one. Raise up Your church in these end times to be like the two witnesses and the 144,000—holy, steadfast, and bold in preaching the everlasting gospel—overcoming darkness by the blood of the Lamb and the word of their testimony, drawing all nations to praise Your exalted name.
Hear our prayer, guide our steps today, grant us peaceful rest tonight, and empower us tomorrow to walk triumphantly in the power of the blood and joyful praise.
In the name of Lord Jesus Christ we pray, Amen.
Thank you for joining us today in reading God’s Word. May His truth be the strength of your heart each and every day.
