Loving Heavenly Father, thank You for speaking to us through Proverbs Chapter 19. Your Word says, “Better is the poor that walketh in his integrity, than he that is perverse in his lips, and is a fool.” In a world that often measures life by success, possessions, and appearances, remind us that a faithful and honest heart is precious in Your sight. Lord, when telling the truth costs us something, when doing what is right feels unnoticed, or when compromise seems easier, give us courage to walk with integrity. Let who we are in private be the same as who we appear to be before others.

You also warn us that “he that hasteth with his feet sinneth,” and that “the foolishness of man perverteth his way: and his heart fretteth against the LORD.” How often we rush into decisions, speak before listening, or blame You when our own choices bring painful results. Lord, slow us down when impatience is driving us. Help us pause before sending the message, making the purchase, answering in anger, or choosing a direction simply because we want quick relief. We also pray for our world. Lord, so much harm is caused by false testimony, reckless decisions, corruption, and people who use wealth or influence without compassion. Give integrity to leaders, judges, employers, parents, and all who carry responsibility for others. Defend the poor and those whose voices are easily ignored.
