Dear brothers and sisters, peace in Christ. Welcome to Revelation 15. Though this is the shortest chapter in the Book of Revelation, it carries immense weight. Here, the scene shifts back to the heavenly sanctuary, where we witness those who have overcome the beast preparing to sing God's praises before the final judgments are poured out on the earth.

Introduction: The Prelude to Final Judgment and the Song of the Redeemed

In Revelation 15, John sees "another sign in heaven, great and marvelous": seven angels holding the seven last plagues, which will complete the wrath of God. Standing beside a sea of glass mixed with fire are the victorious believers—those who refused to bow to the beast or take his mark. They sing the "Song of Moses" and the "Song of the Lamb," praising God not for His wrath, but for His righteousness, justice, and holy deeds. Following this worship, the heavenly sanctuary is filled with smoke from the glory and power of God, and no one is able to enter until the seven plagues are finished.

What can we learn from this today? This chapter gives us a profound view of God's Sovereign Justice and Holiness. The song sung by the conquerors highlights that God’s ways are "just and true." 15 And I saw another sign in heaven, great and marvellous, seven angels having the seven last plagues; for in them is filled up the wrath of God.

2 And I saw as it were a sea of glass mingled with fire: and them that had gotten the victory over the beast, and over his image, and over his mark, and over the number of his name, stand on the sea of glass, having the harps of God.

3 And they sing the song of Moses the servant of God, and the song of the Lamb, saying, Great and marvellous are thy works, Lord God Almighty; just and true are thy ways, thou King of saints.

4 Who shall not fear thee, O Lord, and glorify thy name? for thou only art holy: for all nations shall come and worship before thee; for thy judgments are made manifest.

5 And after that I looked, and, behold, the temple of the tabernacle of the testimony in heaven was opened:

6 And the seven angels came out of the temple, having the seven plagues, clothed in pure and white linen, and having their breasts girded with golden girdles.

7 And one of the four beasts gave unto the seven angels seven golden vials full of the wrath of God, who liveth for ever and ever.

8 And the temple was filled with smoke from the glory of God, and from his power; and no man was able to enter into the temple, till the seven plagues of the seven angels were fulfilled.

Prayer

As we see the heavenly saints exalt the Lord for His righteous acts, let us turn our hearts to prayer, offering Him the praise and awe He alone deserves.

Dear Heavenly Father,

Great and marvelous are Your works, Lord God Almighty! Just and true are Your ways, O King of the nations! Who will not fear You, Lord, and bring glory to Your name? For You alone are holy, and all nations will come and worship before You.

Lord, as we reflect on the solemn vision of Revelation 15, we are reminded of Your absolute purity and sovereignty over human history. Grant us the endurance and faith to overcome the subtle temptations and pressures of the world around us. Help us to fix our eyes on the victorious Lamb and to keep our hearts clean from compromise. Teach us to trust Your timing and Your perfect justice, knowing that You hear the cries of Your people and will bring righteousness to the earth.

We pray for the Church throughout the world today, especially for our brothers and sisters suffering under persecution or pressure to compromise their witness. Fill them with heavenly courage and the assurance of their final victory in Christ. We lift up those who do not yet know You, asking that Your grace would draw them to repentance before the day of judgment. May our lives reflect Your holiness and proclaim Your goodness to a world in need of salvation.
