Welcome to our One Year Whole Bible Reading Plan.
This plan is created to help you read through the entire Bible in one year, from Genesis to Revelation. Each reading day includes a balanced Scripture reading schedule, daily introduction, devotional reflection, customized prayer, and related worship song.
Our goal is not only to help you finish reading the Bible, but also to help you understand God’s Word, pray through Scripture, apply biblical truth in daily life, and grow closer to the Lord.
The Bible is one united story of God’s creation, human sin, God’s covenant promises, redemption through Jesus Christ, and the hope of the new heaven and new earth.
When we read the whole Bible, we begin to see how each book fits into God’s redemptive plan.
Through the whole Bible, we see God’s holiness, mercy, justice, wisdom, patience, faithfulness, and love.
From Genesis to Revelation, Scripture reveals who God is, what He has done, what He promises, and how He calls His people to live.
The whole Bible points us to Christ.
The Old Testament prepares the way for Him through promise, prophecy, sacrifice, covenant, wisdom, and longing. The New Testament reveals His life, death, resurrection, kingdom, church, and glorious return.
Reading the whole Bible helps us grow in a balanced and mature faith.
We learn from the faith, failures, prayers, struggles, obedience, and hope of God’s people throughout Scripture. God’s Word teaches us how to trust Him, follow Him, and live for Him in every season.
This plan is designed with a more balanced daily reading amount.
Instead of having some days feel too heavy and other days too light, we try to arrange the readings in a way that is easier to follow throughout the year. Our hope is to help readers stay consistent, encouraged, and able to continue the journey with joy.
Each reading day combines Bible reading with a Psalm.
This helps us not only read and understand God’s Word, but also learn how to pray, praise, lament, give thanks, and worship God through the Psalms.
The Psalms teach us how to bring our whole heart before the Lord—in joy, sorrow, weakness, repentance, trust, and praise.
In this plan, we read through the book of Psalms two times each year.
Because Psalms are prayers and songs of worship, reading them repeatedly helps us remember God’s truth, grow in prayer, and learn how to worship Him more deeply.
Over time, the words of the Psalms can become part of our own prayer language and help us praise God in daily life.
This plan is designed with Sunday as a rest day.
From the beginning of creation, God gave us a rhythm of work and rest. After six days of creation, God rested on the seventh day. Sunday rest gives us space to worship God, attend church, pray, reflect, spend time with family, and let God’s Word settle in our hearts.
Sunday can also be used as a catch-up day. If you were not able to finish the readings during the week, you can use Sunday to catch up without feeling discouraged.
This plan also includes rest days on important holidays such as New Year’s Day, Good Friday, Easter, and Christmas.
These days give us space to worship, reflect, gather with family and church, and remember God’s grace in meaningful seasons of the year.
By including Sunday and holiday rest days, this plan is more realistic, more flexible, and more suitable for daily life.
This is more than a reading schedule.
Each day is designed to help you read Scripture, understand the message, respond in prayer, apply God’s Word, and worship the Lord.
Our hope is that this plan will help you finish reading the Bible in one year while also growing in faith, prayer, worship, and love for God.
